چکیده

This study aims to describe the implication of Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) model integrated with character values increase students’ skill in solving mathematics story problems. This applied a quasi-experimental research type using non-equivalent control group design involving two classes 30 students each. Data was collected test instrument for problem. were analyzed n-gain descriptive statistical analysis see students' world The results showed that average score student's aptitude problems is 91.26 which category very high. There an ability 0.77 In addition, observations related implementation learning ATI percentage 87.5% good. Thus, character-based can be used it accommodates who are concerned so goals achieved both from cognitive and attitudinal aspects.

BACKGROUND Research on the relationship between cognitive skills and mathematical problem solving is usually conducted on adults or on participants with acquired deficits associated with brain injury (e.g.Cipolotti, 1995; Cohen, Dehaene, & Verstichel, 1994; McCloskey, 1992). AIMS In these studies we wanted to make a contribution to the field of children's mathematical problem solving. The fir...
