Validation of multiphase water wave propagation using smoothed particle hydrodynamics

Abstract Water wave propagation is one of the classical problems in free surface flow that involved water and air. There are a lot studies have been conducted on both experimental numerical methods. One method computational fluid dynamics (CFD), which divided into two major i.e. CFD mesh-based meshfree. In this paper, smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) used to carry out study propagation. SPH mesh-free Lagrangian approach suitable for such as waves. Two-phase was reproduce long-distance using piston-type wavemaker. The probe set 24.6 m front wavemaker with depth 0.75 m. period 1.15 s an amplitude 33.0 mm. simulation carried air phase (multiphase). results indicate reasonable agreement height, celerity, amplitude.
