Vehicular Communication Network Enabled CAV Data Offloading: A Review

چکیده

The connected and autonomous vehicles (CAV) applications services-based traffic make an extra burden on the already congested cellular networks. Offloading is envisioned as a promising solution to tackle networks’ explosion problem. Notably, vehicular offloading leveraging different communication network (VCN) modes one of potential techniques address data problem in This paper surveys state-of-the-art literature for under perspective, i.e., vehicle (V2V), roadside infrastructure (V2I), everything (V2X). First, we pinpoint significant classification data/traffic techniques, considering whether download or upload. Next, better intuition each offloading’s category, sub-classify existing schemes based their objectives. Then, elaborated, compared, analyzed approaches, objectives, merits, demerits, etc. Finally, highlight open research challenges this field predict future trends.
