Virtual Reality Tool for Exploration of Three-Dimensional Cellular Automata

We present a Virtual Reality (VR) tool for exploration of three-dimensional cellular automata. In addition to the traditional visual representation offered by other implementations, this allows users aurally render active (alive) cells an automaton in sequence along one axis or simultaneously create melodic and harmonic textures, while preserving all cases relative locations these user. The audio spatialization method created research can maximum number sources specified underlying software (255) without dropouts. accuracy achieved is unrivaled since it based on actual distance measurements as opposed coarse approximations used methods. A subjective evaluation (effectively, self-reported measurements) our system (n=30) indicated no significant differences user experience intrinsic motivation between VR desktop versions (PC).
