Virtue Signaling: Problematizing Creative Labor Within Knowledge Socialism

This article argues that current scholarship inappropriately utilizes ‘virtue signaling’ to elicit a subjectivist form of de-valorized creative labor within knowledge socialism as philosophy praxis. Moreover, it institutionalized higher education (HE) contexts, should be reoriented toward the promotion prosocial-entrepreneurial ‘transitional ecosystems’ commons-based peer production (CBPP). sociomaterialist repositioning will outline path forward for which better understands, elicits, and valorizes inherently contributions precariously positioned academics contemporary HE.
