چکیده
Global warming and fossil fuel depletion have boosted the search for alternative renewable fuels with a low environmental impact. Biodiesel exhibits many advantages over conventional diesel including possibility of being produced from sources such as waste oils fats. Specifically, animal fats are receiving increased attention an to vegetable biodiesel production. This low-cost feedstock allows mitigation pollution can also improve features by increasing cetane number enhancing oxidative stability. Among different technologies available production, supercritical processes offer important catalytic transesterification in terms process efficiency reaction time. According interest research articles published this field last years, work focuses on systematic review technology using Systematic Reviews Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) methodology. describes state art non-catalytic production discusses key aspects type fat used, operation variables time, temperature, solvent excess, pressure, final properties synthesized biodiesel.

Acid and Base Catalyzed Transesterification of Animal Fats to Biodiesel
The present study has been focused on the acid and base transesterification of animal fats (dairy cow and beef) to produce biodiesel by varying process parameters such as catalyst amount, catalyst nature, reaction time and temperature. The maximum biodiesel yield after acid catalysis was 94.1 ± 2.43 and 98.4 ± 2.3 percent for dairy cow and beef t...
متن کاملBiodiesel Production through Non-catalytic Supercritical Transesterification: Current State and Perspectives
The inconveniences of the conventional method for biodiesel production by alkaline catalysis suggests research towards alternative methods, with the non-catalytic transesterification using an alcohol at supercritical conditions proposed as a promising technique for biodiesel production. The so-called supercritical method (SCM) has powerful advantages over conventional techniques, such as fast r...
متن کاملWaste Cooking Oil as an Alternate Feedstock for Biodiesel Production
As crude oil price reach a new high, the need for developing alternate fuels has become acute. Alternate fuels should be economically attractive in order to compete with currently used fossil fuels. In this work, biodiesel (ethyl ester) was prepared from waste cooking oil collected from a local restaurant in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Ethyl alcohol with sodium hydroxide as a catalyst was use...
متن کاملTransesterification of Waste Cooking Oil for Biodiesel Production Using Modified Clinoptilolite Zeolite as a Heterogeneous Catalyst
Reduction of fossil fuels sources, increasing of pollution gases emission, and global warming effects increase the demand of renewable fuels. One of the main candidates of alternative fuels is biodiesel. Biodiesel limits greenhouse gas effects due to the closed CO2 cycle. Biodiesel has more biodegradability, lower combustion emissions such as CO, SOx, HC, PM and lower toxicity than petro diesel...
