What if youngz> 9JWSTgalaxies hosted massive black holes?

چکیده

JWST is discovering star forming `candidate' galaxies with photometric redshifts $z>9$ and little attenuation. We model presumptive massive black holes (MBHs) in such find that their unobscured emission fainter than the galaxy starlight filters, difficult to be detected via color-color selection, X-ray radio observations. Only MBHs overmassive relative expected scaling relations, accreting at high Eddington rates, would detectable. Their discovery point presence of heavy MBH seeds, but care needed exclude existence lighter seeds as only are detectable this type galaxies. Conversely, if no hosted these galaxies, either there or they rare. The most massive/highest redshift candidate can attain stellar masses excess 5e10 Msun by z~6 grow along SFR-mass sequence, nurse a growing from ~1e5 up >3e7 z~6, become hosts some z>6 quasars. Candidate log(M_{gal}/Msun)~8 not putative fast, unless >1e6 Msun. number density far outnumbers highest-z quasar allows for about 1 bright z~6-7 every 1000

Massive Superstrings Are Black Holes

We argue that it is inconsistent to ignore the gravitational backreaction for on-shell superstring states at the Planck mass and beyond, and that these quantum states become Kerr black holes in the classical limit. Consequences are discussed.

Black holes and massive remnants.

This paper revisits the conundrum faced when one attempts to understand the dynamics of black hole formation and evaporation without abandoning unitary evolution. Previous efforts to resolve this puzzle assume that information escapes in corrections to the Hawking process, that an arbitrarily large amount of information is transmitted by a planckian energy or contained in a Planck-sized remnant...

Massive Elementary Particles Black Holes ? †

We use exact results in a new approach to quantum gravity to study the effect of quantum loop corrections on the behavior of the metric of space-time near the Schwarzschild radius of a massive point particle in the Standard Model. We show that the classical conclusion that such a system is a black hole is obviated. Phenomenological implications are discussed.

Evaluating “What-If” Scenarios for Cloud-hosted Web Applications

Developers deploying web applications in the cloud often need to determine how changes to service tiers or runtime load may affect user-perceived page load time. We devise and evaluate a systematic methodology for exploring such “what-if” questions when a web application is deployed. Given a website, a web request, and “whatif” scenario, with a hypothetical configuration and runtime conditions,...
