When Cockroaches Replace Ants in Trophobiosis: A New Major Life-Trait Pattern of Hemiptera Planthoppers Behaviour Disclosed When Synthesizing Photographic Data

چکیده
The mutualistic interspecific relationships of trophobiosis between trophobiont planthoppers (Hemiptera, Fulgoromorpha) providing food to the host called xenobiont, are reviewed. degree these symbionts varies from occasional or short time duration (a few hours a days) longer ones, with trophobionts left free escape (optobiotic type) by maintained enclosed in nests ant shelters (cryptobiotic type). Of 267 collected cases, 126 new illustrated observations. Occasional is documented 13 families and appears be quite general Fulgoromorpha, although it reported for first Dictyopharidae, Eurybrachidae, Nogodinidae. Xenobionts associated ants other Hymenoptera, Lepidoptera, Blattodea, but also Mollusca even small gekkonid vertebrates. Tettigometridae appear exclusively tended ants, while Fulgoridae significantly more often cockroaches (40%) than (27%). Long-time occurs always cryptobiotic ones Cixiidae, Delphacidae, Tettigometridae, Meenoplidae, Flatidae Hypochthonellidae, optobiotic remain restricted tettigometrids. A particular focus on attended provided etho-ecological 92 currently described tettigometrids species, 32 different species (35%) now known able ant-attended. In Bulgaria, where fourteen occur, at least five them (36%). tettigometrids, subsociality, sessility, underground life key factors allowing complex ants. However, planthopper size thus amount (drops honeydew) probably an important factor. This might explain many observations large-sized isolated fulgorids cockroaches. Tapping forewings cockroaches, moths, bark subtrate geckos has been observed, antennal palpation behaviours most commonly observed not larger planthoppers. specific tegumentary glands secretions (allomones) abdomen pleurites mediate their long-term associations, possibly completing honeydew kairomones actions mediating general.

Predictive Ability of Statistical Genomic Prediction Methods When Underlying Genetic Architecture of Trait Is Purely Additive
A simulation study was conducted to address the issue of how purely additive (simple) genetic architecture might impact on the efficacy of parametric and non-parametric genomic prediction methods. For this purpose, we simulated a trait with narrow sense heritability h2= 0.3, with only additive genetic effects for 300 loci in order to compare the predictive ability of 14 more practically used ge...

lack of unified system in characterizing and reporting thyroid nodules is deeply felt almost in every institution and is a source of confusion among diagnostic radiologists, pathologists, thyroid surgeons, oncologists, endocrinologists and interventionalists. elaborate systems exist but they are not easy to use. therefore many of those systems cannot be utilized widely in general radiology prac...
متن کاملJumping mechanisms in dictyopharid planthoppers (Hemiptera, Dicytyopharidae).
The jumping performance of four species of hemipterans belonging to the family Dictyopharidae, from Europe, South Africa and Australia, were analysed from high-speed images. The body shape in all was characterised by an elongated and tapering head that gave a streamlined appearance. The body size ranged from 6 to 9 mm in length and from 6 to 23 mg in mass. The hind legs were 80-90% of body leng...
متن کاملJumping mechanisms in flatid planthoppers (Hemiptera, Flatidae).
The jumping performance of three species of hemipterans from Australia and Europe belonging to the family Flatidae was analysed from images captured at a rate of 5000 s(-1). The shape of a flatid was dominated by large triangular or wedge-shaped front wings, which, when folded, covered and extended above and behind the body to give a laterally compressed and possibly streamlined appearance. The...

Neurobrucellosis (N.B) is a rare and severe form of systemic Brucella infection. We introduced an unusual case that “Psychologic Symptoms” was the most prominent complaints of his family. He was a 50-year-old man who has worked in butchery. His problems had begun 2 months prior to his admission with mood disorders, arthralgia, weakness, headache, and night sweats; he has recurrent crying with n...
