WORKING UNDER PRESSURE: HOW ARE HEAD TEACHERS INHIBITED AND CHALLENGED WHILE PURSUING THE HEADSHIP IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS?

چکیده

This study explored what experiences head teachers had while pursuing secondary school headship when they were inhibited by various pressure groups inside and outside of the school. The aimed at understanding, describing, interpreting how do manage their role, are storied that working as teachers. participants present (n=13) with a minimum five years’ experience in public sector schools within Sahiwal Division, Province Punjab, Pakistan. By using narrative qualitative inquiry approach, data collected from through semi-structured interviews who selected purposively. Two main themes identified after recorded, transcribed analyzed. key findings pointed out Public Secondary Schools continuously faced obstacles during routine work. These comprise both internal external groups. results affirm need to address these issues enable work freely foster quality education schools.
