Abstract While conducting analysis related to a DARPA-funded project evaluate possible structure of the energy density present in Casimir cavity as predicted by dynamic vacuum model, micro/nano-scale has been discovered that predicts negative distribution closely matches requirements for Alcubierre metric. The simplest notional geometry being analyzed part work consists standard parallel plate equipped with pillars arrayed along mid-plane purpose detecting transient electric field arising from polarization conjectured occur midplane cavity. An analytic technique called worldline numerics was adapted numerically assess response custom cavity, and these numerical results were observed be qualitatively quite similar two-dimensional representation warp Subsequently, toy model consisting 1 $$\upmu $$ μ m diameter sphere centrally located 4 cylinder show three-dimensional correlates well metric requirements. This qualitative correlation would suggest chip-scale experiments might explored attempt measure tiny signatures illustrative presence phenomenon: real, albeit humble, bubble.
