X?IGALME: Isogeometric analysis extended with local maximum entropy for fracture analysis
نویسندگان
چکیده
An extended approach is developed by blending isogeometric analysis and the first-order local maximum entropy for standard enhanced fields, respectively. Isogeometric facilitates accurate parametrization of geometry in general, particularly exact geometric conic curves quadratic surfaces using NURBS. On other hand, leads to an improved estimate part due its infinite continuity. Moreover, paves way a nonelementwise crack propagation owing meshfree characteristic. To enforce compatibility, shifting technique amended localize effect Heaviside function narrow region around crack. Next, exploited remove discontinuity front tip. The viability illustrated at hand several examples comprising straight curved propagation.

Local and Global Approaches to Fracture Mechanics Using Isogeometric Analysis Method
The present research investigates the implementations of different computational geometry technologies in isogeometric analysis framework for computational fracture mechanics. NURBS and T-splines are two different computational geometry technologies which are studied in this work. Among the features of B-spline basis functions, the possibility of enhancing a B-spline basis with discontinuities ...
متن کاملImproved maximum entropy analysis with an extended search space
Alexander Rothkopf Fakultät für Physik, Universität Bielefeld, D-33615 Bielefeld, Germany (Dated: October 31, 2011) Abstract We propose an improvement to the implementation of the well established Maximum Entropy Method by taking into account carefully the role of prior information. This involves a departure from Bryan’s concept of search space, a change that becomes crucial for the success of ...

متن کاملMaximum entropy spectral analysis
A review of the maximum entropy spectral analysis (MESA) method for time series is presented. Then, empirical evidence based on maximum entropy spectra of real seismic data is shown to suggest that M = 2N/ ln 2N is a reasonable a priori choice of the operator length M for discrete time series of length N . Various data examples support this conclusion.
