Enhanced Best Effort QoS Routing with Multiple Prioritised Metrics Using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) Concept

چکیده

In this paper, we propose two algorithms. The first supports Enhanced Best effort Quality of service Routing with Multiple and Prioritised Metrics (EBQRMPM). The second supports Enhanced Best effort Quality of service Routing with Multiple Metrics (EBQRMM). Both algorithms apply the concept of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) which is a well-known model in the area of decision making with multiple objectives. We show how they work in general. We will see clearly how the final path decision changes as the priorities of the metrics change. The main novelty of this paper is the application of AHP approach which provides an opportunity to consider multiple metrics in the proposed algorithms.
