The Classical Limit of Quantum Partition Functions

چکیده
We extend Lieb's limit theorem [which asserts that SO(3) quantum spins approach S classical spins as L-> oo] to general compact Lie groups. We also discuss the classical limit for various continuum systems. To control the compact group case, we discuss coherent states built up from a maximal weight vector in an irreducible representation and we prove that every bounded operator is an integral of projections onto coherent vectors (i.e. every operator has "diagonal form").

Optimizing Teleportation Cost in Multi-Partition Distributed Quantum Circuits
There are many obstacles in quantum circuits implementation with large scales, so distributed quantum systems are appropriate solution for these quantum circuits. Therefore, reducing the number of quantum teleportation leads to improve the cost of implementing a quantum circuit. The minimum number of teleportations can be considered as a measure of the efficiency of distributed quantum systems....
متن کاملQuantum Corrections for Generalized Partition Functions
The classical limit for generalized partition functions is obtained using coherent states. In this framework it is presented a general procedure to obtain all the corrections to the classical limit. In particular, the first and second order quantum corrections are worked out explicitly, and the classical limit for the Tsallis thermostatistics is determined. The results of this work generalize t...
متن کاملTransition from quantum to classical Heisenberg trimers: Thermodynamics and time correlation functions
We focus on the transition from quantum to classical behavior in thermodynamic functions and time correlation functions of a system consisting of three identical quantum spins s that interact via isotropic Heisenberg exchange. The partition function and the zero-field magnetic susceptibility are readily shown to adopt their classical forms with increasing s. The behavior of the spin autocorrela...
متن کاملWhen the classical & quantum mechanical considerations hint to a single point; a microscopic particle in a one dimensional box with two infinite walls and a linear potential inside it
In this paper we have solved analytically the Schrödinger equation for a microscopic particle in a one-dimensional box with two infinite walls, which the potential function inside it, has a linear form. Based on the solutions of this special quantum mechanical system, we have shown that as the quantum number approaches infinity the expectation values of microscopic particle position and square ...
متن کاملHyperbolicity of Partition Function and Quantum Gravity
We study a geometry of the partition function which is defined in terms of a solution of the five-term relation. It is shown that the 3-dimensional hyperbolic structure or Euclidean AdS3 naturally arises in the classical limit of this invariant. We discuss that the oriented ideal tetrahedron can be assigned to the partition function of string. PACS: 04.60.-m, 04.60.Nc, 03.65.-w † [email protected]....
