Dipole formalism with heavy fermions

چکیده
We extend the dipole formalism of Catani and Seymour to QCD processes involving heavy fermions. We give the appropriate subtraction terms together with their integrated counterpart. All calculations are done within dimensional regularization. Our formulae can be used with three variants of dimensional regularization (conventional dimensional regularization, the ’t Hooft-Veltman scheme or the fourdimensional scheme).

Top quark chromomagnetic dipole moment in the littlest Higgs model with T-parity
The littlest Higgs model with T-parity, which is called LHT model, predicts the existence of the new particles, such as heavy top quark, heavy gauge bosons, and mirror fermions. We calculate the one-loop contributions of these new particles to the top quark chromomagnetic dipole moment (CMDM) ∆K. We find that the contribution of the LHT model is one order of magnitude smaller than the standard ...
متن کاملCollider searches and cosmology in the MSSM with heavy scalars
In a variety of supersymmetric extensions of the Standard Model, the scalar partners of the quarks and leptons are predicted to be very heavy and beyond the reach of next-generation colliders. For instance, the realization of electroweak baryogenesis in supersymmetry requires new sources of CP-violation, which can only be naturally accommodated with electric dipole moment constraints if the fir...
متن کاملOne–loop MSSM Contribution to the Weak Magnetic Dipole Moments of Heavy Fermions
The MSSM predictions at the one-loop level for the weak-magnetic dipole moments of the τ lepton and the b quark are analysed. The entire supersymmetric parameter space is scanned with the usual GUT constraint and common squark and slepton mass parameters. The real part of aτ is dominated by the chargino contribution, being the same order as the SM one or even larger in the high tan β region whe...
متن کاملCharm and bottom quark production in photon-nucleon and photon-photon collisions
I discuss mechanisms of heavy quark production in (real) photon-nucleon and (real) photon (real) photon collisions. In particular, I focuse on application of the Saturation Model. In addition to the main dipole-nucleon or dipole-dipole contribution included in recent analyses, I propose how to calculate within the same formalism the hadronic single-resolved contribution to heavy quark productio...
متن کاملA General Approach To Photon Radiation Off Fermions
Soft or collinear photon emission potentially poses numerical problems in the phasespace integration of radiative processes. In this paper, a general subtraction formalism is presented that removes such singularities from the integrand of the numerical integration and adds back the analytically integrated contributions that have been subtracted. The method is a generalization of the dipole form...
