چکیده

In this paper, we establish a discrete time Geom/G/1 queue with setup-close delay-close down based on operation mechanisms with Switch Virtual Channels (SVC). Different from conventional intricate and time consuming imbedded Markov renewal processes, we use the factorization principle of discrete time queues with general vacation to analyze the response time, connection establishment ratio, operating efficiency and idle ratio of SVCs. Furthermore, we confirm the dependency relationships between these performance measures and the close delay timer’s setting, which have potential applications in system optimal design and network control.

Discrete Time Analysis of Multi-Server Queueing System with Multiple Working Vacations and Reneging of Customers‎

This paper analyzes a discrete-time $Geo/Geo/c$ queueing system with multiple working vacations and reneging in which customers arrive according to a geometric process. As soon as the system gets empty, the servers go to a working vacations all together. The service times during regular busy period, working vacation period and vacation times are assumed to be geometrically distributed. Customer...

On uniformly distributed on/off arrivals in virtual output queued switches with geometric service times

Virtual output queueing is commonly deployed as a buffering technique in high-performance input-queued switch architectures. This paper presents analysis for discrete-time virtual output queued switches with incoming traffic governed by a uniformly distributed Markov modulated ON/OFF process, and geometrically distributed service times. We utilize the k-step first-passage time probability matri...

A discrete-time queueing model of the shared buffer ATM switch with bursty arrivals

Ve model the shared buffer ATM switch as a discrete-time queueing system. The arrival process to each port of the ATM switch. is assumed to be bursty and it is modelled by an Interrupted Bernoulli Process. The discrete-time queueing system is analyzed approximately. It is first decomposed into subsystems, and then each subsystem is analyzed separately. The results from the subsystems are combin...

Multi-Objective Lead Time Control in Multistage Assembly Systems (TECHNICAL NOTE)

In this paper we develop a multi-objective model to optimally control the lead time of a multistage assembly system. The multistage assembly system is modeled as an open queueing network, whose service stations represent manufacturing or assembly operations. The arrival processes of the individual parts of the product, which should be assembled to each other in assembly stations, are assumed to...

Admissibility analysis for discrete-time singular systems with time-varying delays by adopting the state-space Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model

This paper is pertained with the problem of admissibility analysis of uncertain discrete-time nonlinear singular systems by adopting the state-space Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model with time-delays and norm-bounded parameter uncertainties. Lyapunov Krasovskii functionals are constructed to obtain delay-dependent stability condition in terms of linear matrix inequalities, which is dependent on the low...
