Distributed Event-based State Estimation
نویسنده
چکیده
An event-based state estimation approach for reducing communication in a networked control system is proposed. Multiple distributed sensor-actuator-agents observe a dynamic process and sporadically exchange their measurements and inputs over a bus network. Based on these data, each agent estimates the full state of the dynamic system, which may exhibit arbitrary interagent couplings. Local event-based protocols ensure that data is transmitted only when necessary to meet a desired estimation accuracy. This event-based scheme is shown to mimic a centralized Luenberger observer design up to guaranteed bounds, and stability is proven in the sense of bounded estimation errors for bounded disturbances. The stability result extends to the distributed control system that results when the local state estimates are used for distributed feedback control. Simulation results highlight the benefit of the event-based approach over classical periodic ones in reducing communication requirements.

متن کاملDistributed and Event-Based State Estimation and Control
In this thesis, state estimation and control are considered for dynamic systems with multiple distributed control agents (each equipped with sensing, actuation, and computation) that share data with each other over a broadcast network in order to coordinate their actions. With the state estimation algorithms that are developed for this class of systems, each agent can estimate the full state of...
متن کاملError Modeling in Distribution Network State Estimation Using RBF-Based Artificial Neural Network
State estimation is essential to access observable network models for online monitoring and analyzing of power systems. Due to the integration of distributed energy resources and new technologies, state estimation in distribution systems would be necessary. However, accurate input data are essential for an accurate estimation along with knowledge on the possible correlation between the real and...
متن کاملA Protocol for Distributed State Estimation in Discrete Event Systems
We propose a protocol for distributed state estimation, where distributed observers share their state estimation information through bounded-delay channels. A synchronized truncation strategy is proposed to further reduce the space and time complexity. An example is provided to illustrate the proposed distributed state-estimation protocol.

This paper is concerned with the event-triggered distributed H∞ state estimation problem for a class of discrete-time stochastic nonlinear systems with packet dropouts in a sensor network. An event-triggered communication mechanism is adopted over the sensor network with hope to reduce the communication burden and the energy consumption, where the measurements on each sensor are transmitted onl...
