Multi-class signal flow model for inter-domain traffic flows simulation

چکیده
This paper is focused on the Rate and Time Continuous Fluid Simulation technology (RTC-FSIM) [Ber02a], [Ber02b] a modular and extendable simulation technology based on differential equations paradigm realised in MATLAB and SIMULINK. RTC-FSIM is intended to be used in INTERMON [INTERMON] project for QoS based inter-domain modelling and simulation considering priority classes to describe traffic flows in inter-domain network environment. The RTC-FSIM modelling and simulation approach is compared with the state of the art. Special focus is the explanation of the multi-class signal fluid model and the realisation with MATLAB and SIMULINK. The multi-class based modelling and simulation is demonstrated based on scenario for inter-domain traffic engineering.

Blood Flow Simulation in an Aorta with a mild coarctation Using Magnetic Resonance Angiography and Finite Volume Method
Coarctation of the aorta is one of the five main congenital cardiovascular failures, accounting for 6–8 percent of these failures. This research aimed to simulate the blood flow of a seventeen-year-old male teen with a mild coarctation at one-third of his aorta's descending branch. The simulation was performed by extracting the domain and the input pulsatile velocity signal as the boundary cond...
متن کاملModel predictive control for multi-class traffic flows
In this paper we first present an extension of the macroscopic traffic flow model METANET to multi-class flows. The resulting multi-class model takes into account the differences between, e.g., fast vehicles (cars) and slow vehicles (trucks) including their possibly different free-flow speeds and critical densities. Next, we show how this model can be used in a model-based predictive control ap...
متن کاملMixed Large-Eddy Simulation Model for Turbulent Flows across Tube Bundles Using Parallel Coupled Multiblock NS Solver
In this study, turbulent flow around a tube bundle in non-orthogonal grid is simulated using the Large Eddy Simulation (LES) technique and parallelization of fully coupled Navier – Stokes (NS) equations. To model the small eddies, the Smagorinsky and a mixed model was used. This model represents the effect of dissipation and the grid-scale and subgrid-scale interactions. The fully coupled NS eq...

متن کاملBandwidth Regulation of Real-Time Traffic Classes in Internetworks
New network applications which involve transmission of continuous media data, such as audio and video conferencing, introduce immense challenges for the design of packet-switching intemetworks. Existing flow and congestion control mechanisms have been shown to be ineffective for supporting the real-time requirements of continuous media data transfers. We propose a novel bandwidth regulation mec...
