Heavy subgraph pairs for traceability of block-chains

چکیده
A graph is called traceable if it contains a Hamilton path, i.e., a pathcontaining all its vertices. Let G be a graph on n vertices. We say that aninduced subgraph of G is o−1-heavy if it contains two nonadjacent verticeswhich satisfy an Ore-type degree condition for traceability, i.e., with degreesum at least n−1 in G. A block-chain is a graph whose block graph is a path,i.e., it is either a P1, P2, or a 2-connected graph, or a graph with at least onecut vertex and exactly two end-blocks. Obviously, every traceable graph isa block-chain, but the reverse does not hold. In this paper we characterizeall the pairs of connected o−1-heavy graphs that guarantee traceability ofblock-chains. Our main result is a common extension of earlier work ondegree sum conditions, forbidden subgraph conditions and heavy subgraphconditions for traceability.

Forbidden subgraph pairs for traceability of block-chains
A block-chain is a graph whose block graph is a path, i.e. it is either a P1, a P2, or a 2-connected graph, or a graph of connectivity 1 with exactly two end-blocks. A graph is called traceable if it contains a Hamilton path. A traceable graph is clearly a block-chain, but the reverse does not hold in general. In this paper we characterize all pairs of connected graphs {R, S} such that every {R...
متن کاملPairs of Heavy Subgraphs for Hamiltonicity of 2-Connected Graphs
Let G be a graph on n vertices. An induced subgraph H of G is called heavy if there exist two nonadjacent vertices in H with degree sum at least n in G. We say that G is H-heavy if every induced subgraph of G isomorphic to H is heavy. For a family H of graphs, G is called H-heavy if G is H-heavy for every H ∈ H. In this paper we characterize all connected graphs R and S other than P3 (the path ...
متن کاملGlycosylation causes an apparent block in translation of immunoglobulin heavy chain.
Analysis of nascent heavy chains isolated from MPC11 (gamma 2b heavy chains) and MOPC 21 (gamma 1 heavy chains) mouse myeloma cells demonstrates an accumulation of nascent heavy chains which are slightly smaller in mass (approximately 35,000 daltons) than nascent heavy chains which have just been glycosylated (approximately 38,000 daltons). The accumulation of 35,000-dalton nascent heavy chain ...
متن کاملCompatibility of B-Sheets with Epitopes Predicted by Immunoinformatic in Human IgG
Background & Aims: Antibodies, well-known as immunoglobulins (Igs), are produced by B lymphocytes and specifically defend against pathogens. Igs are glycoproteins and have high diagnostic value in several diseases including infections (1). Igs are composed of light and heavy chains (2, 3). Each chain is comprised of about 110-120 amino acid residues which create immunoglobulin folds named domai...
متن کاملWiener numbers of random pentagonal chains
The Wiener index is the sum of distances between all pairs of vertices in a connected graph. In this paper, explicit expressions for the expected value of the Wiener index of three types of random pentagonal chains (cf. Figure 1) are obtained.
