A ug 1 99 7 A Strong Electroweak Sector with Decoupling at Low Energy
I discuss the possible symmetries of effective theories for spinless and spin one bosons, to concentrate on a model with vector and ax-ial vector strong interacting bosons possessing a discrete symmetry demanding degeneracy (degenerate BESS model, BESS standing for Breaking Electroweak Symmetry Strongly). The phenomenology at future hadron colliders is also presented.
متن کاملDEGENERATE BESS AT FUTURE ee COLLIDERS
An effective lagrangian describing a strong interacting electroweak sector is considered. It contains new vector and axial-vector resonances all degenerate in mass and mixed withW and Z. The model, for large mass of these degenerate gauge bosons, becomes identical to the standard model in the limit of infinite Higgs mass. The limits on the parameter space of this model from future ee colliders ...
متن کاملA Strong Electroweak Sector at Future Colliders
A brief overview of the production at future colliders of two new triplets of spin one resonances from a strong electroweak breaking is presented. Fits to the electroweak precision data assuming the Standard Model (SM) suggest a light Higgs; however the data do not necessarily exclude possible extensions with a large Higgs mass provided that its effect is compensated by the effect of some new h...
متن کاملPseudo Goldstones at Future Colliders from the Extended Bess
We consider the production of the lightest pseudo-Goldstone bosons at future colliders through the vector resonances predicted by the extended BESS model, which consists of an effective lagrangian parametrization with dynamical symmetry breaking, describing scalar, vector and axial-vector bound states in a rather general framework. We find that the detection of pseudo-Goldstone pairs at LHC req...

We investigate the reaction e+e− → W+W−, W− → l−ν̄ in a strong coupling scenario as implemented in the BESS model. Energy and angle spectra of the secondary lepton are calculated and compared with the predictions of the Standard Model. These spectra provide a determination of the fraction f0 of longitudinally polarized W ’s, and the backward fraction of secondary leptons, fback. Assuming BESS pa...
