چکیده

Let P be a Poisson process of intensity one in the infinite plane R2. We surround each point x ofP by the open disc of radius r centred at x. Now let Sn be a fixed disc of area n, and let Cr(Sn) be the set of discs which intersect Sn. Write E r for the event that Cr(Sn) is a k-cover of Sn, and F r for the event that Cr(Sn) may be partitioned into k disjoint single covers of Sn. We prove that P(E r \ F r ) ≤ ck/log n, and that this result is best possible. We also give improved estimates for P(E r ). Finally, we study the obstructions to k-partitionability inmore detail. As part of this study, we prove a classification theorem for (deterministic) covers ofR2 with half-planes that cannot be partitioned into two single covers.

An Efficient Cluster Head Selection Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks Using Fuzzy Inference Systems

An efficient cluster head selection algorithm in wireless sensor networks is proposed in this paper. The implementation of the proposed algorithm can improve energy which allows the structured representation of a network topology. According to the residual energy, number of the neighbors, and the centrality of each node, the algorithm uses Fuzzy Inference Systems to select cluster head. The alg...

Sentry-Based Power Management in Wireless Sensor Networks

This paper presents a sentry-based approach to power management in wireless sensor networks for applications such as intruder detection and tracking. To minimize average power consumption while maintaining sufficient node density for coarse sensing, nodes are partitioned dynamically into two sets: sentries and non-sentries. Sentry nodes provide sufficient coverage for continuous monitoring and ...

Performance Analysis of Wireless Cooperative Networks with Iterative Incremental Relay Selection

In this paper, an iterative incremental relay selection (IIRS) scheme is considered for wireless cooperative networks in order to increase the reliability of transmission. Different from the conventional incremental relay selection which incrementally selects a best relay for only one iteration; the IIRS scheme iteratively applies the incremental relaying and relay selection processes. To evalu...

Intrusion Detection in Wireless Sensor Networks using Genetic Algorithm

Wireless sensor networks, due to the characteristics of sensors such as wireless communication channels, the lack of infrastructure and targeted threats, are very vulnerable to the various attacks. Routing attacks on the networks, where a malicious node from sending data to the base station is perceived. In this article, a method that can be used to transfer the data securely to prevent attacks...

An Adaptive LEACH-based Clustering Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks

LEACH is the most popular clastering algorithm in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). However, it has two main drawbacks, including random selection of cluster heads, and direct communication of cluster heads with the sink. This paper aims to introduce a new centralized cluster-based routing protocol named LEACH-AEC (LEACH with Adaptive Energy Consumption), which guarantees to generate balanced cl...

A New Method for Clustering Wireless Sensor Networks to Improve the Energy Consumption

Clustering is an effective approach for managing nodes in Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). A new method of clustering mechanism with using Binary Gravitational Search Algorithm (BGSA) in WSN, is proposed in this paper to improve the energy consumption of the sensor nodes. Reducing the energy consumption of sensors in WSNs is the objective of this paper that is through selecting the sub optimum se...
