چکیده

We propose a set of conservative models in which agents exchange wealth with a preference in the choice of interacting agents in different ways. The common feature in all the models is that the temporary values of financial status of agents is a deciding factor for interaction. Other factors which may play important role are past interactions and wealth possessed by individuals.Wealth distribution, network properties and activity are themain quantities which have been studied. Evidence of phase transitions and other interesting features are presented. The results show that certain observations of the real economic system can be reproduced by the models. © 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

An Analysis to Wealth Distribution Based on Sugarscape Model in an Artificial Society

In this paper an artificial society is being assumed as a multi agents system. A sugarscape model consisting of a cellular landscape of resources is used to form an interaction among the agents of the population. In the model, agents find the resources to survive. They are supposed to move and search and because of this movement, an evolutionary social behavior will develope. From model analys...

Peer Pressure in Smoking and its Impact on Social Welfare; A Study Using Agent-based Modeling and Simulation

Many people die each year due to smoking. Social pressures, such as peer pressure, which are manifested in one's interactions with his/her peers, are from very effective factors in people's tendency to smoke. In this research, it was attempted to study and analyze peer pressure in smoking and its impact on some of the welfare indicators including mortality number due to starvation, wealth avera...

The Rich Are Different ! Pareto Law from asymmetric interactions in asset exchange models

It is known that asset exchange models with symmetric interaction between agents show either a Gibbs/log-normal distribution of assets among the agents or condensation of the entire wealth in the hands of a single agent, depending upon the rules of exchange. Here we explore the effects of introducing asymmetry in the interaction between agents with different amounts of wealth (i.e., the rich be...

The Question of Relaxation in the Wealth Exchange Models

We look at the meaning of ’relaxation’ in the wealth exchange models that are recently proposed in Econophysics to interpret the wealth distributions. To quantify and characterise the process of relaxation, we define an appropriate quantity and evaluate that numerically for the systems of many agents. Also, it has been supported heuristically by constructing a simple differential equation. Intr...
