Model gluon propagator and pion and rho -meson observables.

چکیده
A one parameter, model confined-gluon propagator is employed in a phenomenological application of the Dyson-Schwinger and Bethe-Salpeter equations to the calculation of a range of πand ρ-meson observables. Good agreement is obtained with the data. The calculated quark propagator does not have a singularity on the real-p2 axis. A mass formula for the pion, involving only the vacuum, dressed quark propagator, is presented and shown to provide an accurate estimate of the mass obtained via a direct solution of the Bethe-Salpeter equation. Dynamical Gluon Mass in QCD Processes
We perform phenomenological applications of modified gluon propagators and running coupling constants in scattering processes in Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD). The modified forms of propagators and running coupling constant are obtained by non-perturbative methods. The processes investigated includes the diffractive ones – proton-proton elastic scattering, light vector meson photo-production and...
متن کاملInsight into Hadron Structure from Lattice QCD
A variety of evidence from lattice QCD is presented revealing the dominant role of instantons in the propagation of light quarks in the QCD vacuum and in light hadron structure. The instanton content of lattice gluon configurations is extracted, and observables calculated from the instantons alone are shown to agree well with those calculated using all gluons. The lowest 128 eigenfunctions of t...
متن کاملFinite pion width effects on the rho–meson
We study the influence of the finite damping width of pions on the in–medium properties of the ρ–meson in an interacting meson gas model at finite temperature. Using vector dominance also implications on the resulting dilepton spectra from the decay of the ρ–meson are presented. A set of coupled Dyson equations with self–energies up to the sunset diagram level is solved self consistently. Follo...
متن کاملElectromagnetic Form Factors of Meson Transitions
The Dyson-Schwinger equation (DSE) approach [1] to non-perturbative QCD modeling of hadrons and their interactions [2] combines truncated QCD equations of motion for propagators and vertices with infrared phenomenology fitted to a few key low-energy observables. Parameter-free predictions for other hadron properties and observables are then used to develop and test our understanding of hadron p...

Recent lattice-QCD results for the dressed-gluon propagator are used within the quark Dyson-Schwinger equation to determine the gluon-quark vertex dressing necessary to reproduce the lattice-QCD results for the dressed-quark propagator. Both quenched and full QCD lattice simulations, for a range of low quark current masses, are analyzed. The chiral extrapolation is made through this continuum D...
