چکیده
quality-of-service, negotiation, agents, distributed object systems Quality-of-Service (QoS) encompasses a wide range of nonfunctional characteristics, including reliability, security, and performance and is becoming increasingly important in businesscritical distributed systems. Such systems are increasingly deployed in open networks, such as the Internet, where resource allocation and load varies highly. To provide useful functionality and meet QoS requirements in such an environment, systems need to be able to dynamically (re)configure and adapt to changing QoS conditions.

Developing Multimedia Applications with the OMG Streaming Framework
This paper presents an implementation of the OMG (Object Management Group) media streaming framework and discusses how this speciication addresses some key issues related to multimedia communication, such as quality of service, support to multi-party streams, and ability to interwork with other multimedia infrastructures such as the World Wide Web. The OMG standard \Control and Management of Au...
متن کاملMetadata Modeling for Quality of Service Management in Distributed Multimedia Systems1
In distributed multimedia systems, since multimedia objects are voluminous and unstructured, manipulation, transfer and visualization of such objects can require a lot of time and resources. It then becomes essential to prevent unsatisfactory information delivery. For that purpose, Quality of Service (QoS) management appears as an essential function supplied by distributed multimedia systems to...
متن کاملA Real-time Service Oriented Infrastructure
The advancements in distributed computing have driven the emergence of service-based infrastructures that allow for on-demand provision of ICT assets. Taking into consideration the complexity of distributed environments, significant challenges exist in providing and managing the offered on-demand resources with the required level of Quality of Service (QoS), especially for real-time interactive...

متن کاملIntegration of quality of service in distributed object systems
Quality of Service (QoS) has been used in several contexts, especially in network protocols like ATM and RSVP. More recently, standardization work has started in the area of distributed object systems, like CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture) and ODP (Open Distributed Processing). However, no commercial solution supports full QoS properties like: modularity, observation, guarantee...
