Divergent Roles of Tumor Necrosis Factor and Platelet-Activating Factor in Endotoxin-Induced Release of Monocyte Chemoattractant Protein 1 and Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 1b in Chimpanzees

چکیده
A platelet-activating factor receptor antagonist reduced the release of macrophage inflammatory protein 1b (MIP-1b) during endotoxemia in chimpanzees but did not influence the secretion of monocyte chemoattractant protein 1 (MCP-1). Anti-tumor necrosis factor alpha monoclonal antibody completely prevented MCP-1 release and simultaneously enhanced the secretion of MIP-1b. Levels of MIP-1b and MCP-1 release were differentially regulated during endotoxemia.

متن کاملThe Effect of Human Recombinant Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor-2 on Reducing Inflammatory of Collagen -Induced Arthritis in Balb/c Mice
Background: The tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα) is a cytokine that produced principally by monocyte/macrophages and T lymphocytes, respectively. TNFα is recognized as the primary mediator of immunity in inflammation reaction. One important application of Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor 2 (TNFR2) is for the treatment of autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis (RA).<br /...
متن کاملPossible Roles of Proinflammatory and Chemoattractive Cytokines Produced by Human Fetal Membrane Cells in the Pathology of Adverse Pregnancy Outcomes Associated with Influenza Virus Infection
Pregnant women are at an increased risk of influenza-associated adverse outcomes, such as premature delivery, based on data from the latest pandemic with a novel influenza A (H1N1) virus in 2009-2010. It has been suggested that the transplacental transmission of influenza viruses is rarely detected in humans. A series of our study has demonstrated that influenza virus infection induced apoptosi...
متن کاملDifferential induction of the toll-like receptor 4-MyD88-dependent and -independent signaling pathways by endotoxins.
The biological response to endotoxin mediated through the Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4)-MD-2 receptor complex is directly related to lipid A structure or configuration. Endotoxin structure may also influence activation of the MyD88-dependent and -independent signaling pathways of TLR4. To address this possibility, human macrophage-like cell lines (THP-1, U937, and MM6) or murine macrophage RAW 26...

Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease of the central nervous system which its main characteristic is an inflammation and demyelination and subsequent, neural degeneration. Many studies have shown that inflammation causing neuronal demyelination. MS is the most common cause of chronic neurological disability in during youth which the prognosis is that can be death. Platelet activating fact...
