Revisiting Human Activity Frameworks

چکیده
A classical activity theory has for long been established as a de-facto framework on which many human activity models and recognition algorithms are based. We observed several limitations to the classical activity theory, mostly attributed to its inability to discern among seemingly similar concepts and artifacts. We discuss these limitations and introduce a generic activity framework that addresses these issues. We provide a comparative analysis to quantify the effect of our proposed framework on the accuracy of activity recognition using a benchmark of activities of daily living. We report significant improvement of the recognition accuracy.

متن کاملRevisiting Abstract Argumentation Frameworks
This paper argues that many extensions of Dung’s framework incorporating relations additional to binary attacks, are best viewed as abstractions of human rather than computational models of reasoning and debate. The paper then discusses how these additional relations may be reified into object level knowledge, thus enabling reconstruction of the extended framework as a Dung framework, and provi...

متن کاملRevisiting Reductants in the Multi-adjoint Logic Programming Framework
Reductants are a special kind of fuzzy rules which constitute an essential theoretical tool for proving correctness properties. A multi-adjoint logic program, when interpreted on an arbitrary lattice, has to include all its reductants in order to preserve the approximate completeness property. In this work, after revisiting the different notions of reductant arisen in the framework of multi-adj...
