Pure Leptonic Decays of the D and D, Mesons t

This report presents a feasibility study of the pure leptonic decays of charmed mesons at a Tau-Charm Factory. A year of running with a luminosity of 1O33 cmV2sec-’ would allow precise measurement of Jo and Jo, at a percent level, providing a benchmark test of Lattice QCD calculations. Possible observation of mass-dependent couplings in D, decays to TV and /JLV is also discussed.

Pure Leptonic Radiative Decays B
Pure leptonic radiative decays of heavy-light mesons are calculated using a very simple non-relativistic model. Dominant contribution originates from photon emission from light initial quark. We find BR(B ± → ℓνγ) ∼ 3.5 × 10 −6 and BR(D s → ℓνγ) ∼ 1.7 × 10 −4. The importance of these reactions to clarify the dynamics of the annihilation graph is emphasized.
