چکیده

One considers the effect of disorder on the 2-dimensional density of states of an electron in a constant magnetic field superposed onto a Poissonnian random distribution of point vortices. If one restricts the electron Hilbert space to the lowest Landau level of the total average magnetic field, the random magnetic impurity problem is mapped onto a contact δ impurity problem. A brownian motion analysis of the model, based on brownian probability distributions for arithmetic area winding sectors, is also proposed.

The equilibrium statistical mechanics of a d dimensional " oriented " manifold in an N + d dimensional random medium are analyzed in d = 4 − ǫ dimensions. For N = 1, this problem describes an interface pinned by impurities. For d = 1, the model becomes identical to the directed polymer in a random medium. Here, we generalize the functional renormalization group method used previously to study t...

A numerical approach to disordered 2D superconductors described by BCS mean field theory is outlined. The energy gap and the superfluid density at zero temperature and the quasiparticle density of states are studied. The method involves approximate self-consistent solutions of the Bogolubov-de Gennes equations on finite square lattices. Where comparison is possible, the results of standard anal...

We show that the critical behavior of a driven interface, depinned from quenched random impurities, depends on the isotropy of the medium. In anisotropic media the interface is pinned by a bounding (conducting) surface characteristic of a model of mixed diodes and resistors. Different universality classes describe depinning along a hard and a generic direction. The exponents in the latter (tilt...

Dynamics of the 1D electron transport between two reservoirs are studied based on the inhomogeneous Tomonaga-Luttinger Liquid (ITLL) model in the case when the effect of the electron backscattering on the impurities is negligible. The inhomo-geneities of the interaction lead to a charge wave reflection. This effect supposes a special behavior of the transport characteristics at the microwave fr...

We introduce a model for Ce 3+ impurities in cubic metals which exhibits competition between the Fermi-liquid fixed point of the single channel Kondo model and the non-Fermi-liquid fixed point of the two-and three-channel Kondo models. Using the non-crossing approximation and scaling theory, we find: (i) A possible three-channel Kondo effect between the one-and two-channel regimes in parameter ...
