Effect of Galactooligosaccharides on Oyariectomized Rats CalciumAbsorption and Preventing BoneLoss

The effbets of galaetooligosaccharides (GOS), a mixture of galactosyl oligosaccharides formed from lactose by the transgalactosyl reaction of fi-D-galactosidase deriyed from Bacitlas circulans, on calcium absorption and preyention of bone loss were examined in oyariectomized (OYX) Wistar rats.
