One-loop φ-MHV amplitudes using the unitarity bootstrap: the general helicity case

چکیده
We consider a Higgs boson coupled to gluons via the five-dimensional effective operator HtrGμνG μν . We treat H as the real part of a complex field φ that couples to the selfdual gluon field strengths and compute the one-loop corrections to the φ-MHV amplitudes involving φ, two negative helicity gluons and an arbitrary number of positive helicity gluons. Our results generalise earlier work where the two negative helicity gluons were constrained to be colour adjacent. We use four-dimensional unitarity to construct the cut-containing contributions and the recently developed recursion relations to obtain the rational contribution for an arbitrary number of external gluons. We solve the recursion relations and give explicit results for up to four external gluons. These amplitudes are relevant for Higgs plus jet production via gluon fusion in the limit where the top quark mass is large compared to all other scales in the problem. July 22, 2008

MHV One-Loop Amplitudes in Yang-Mills from Generalised Unitarity
In this letter, we exploit generalised unitarity in order to calculate the cut-constructible part of one-loop amplitudes in non-supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory. In particular, we rederive the n-gluon MHV amplitudes for both the adjacent and non-adjacent gluon helicity configurations from 3and 4-particle cuts alone. {a.brandhuber, m.vincon}@qmul.ac.uk
متن کاملComputing One-Loop Amplitudes From The Holomorphic Anomaly Of Unitarity Cuts
We propose a systematic way to carry out the method introduced in hep-th/0410077 for computing certain unitarity cuts of one-loop N = 4 amplitudes of gluons. We observe that the class of cuts for which the method works involves all next-to-MHV ngluon one-loop amplitudes of any helicity configurations. As an application of our systematic procedure, we obtain the complete seven-gluon one-loop lea...
متن کاملRecursive Approach to One-loop QCD Matrix Elements
Recently, a “weak-weak” duality, between N = 4 super Yang-Mills and a topological string theory propagating in twistor space, has been proposed [1] implying an identical perturbative S-matrix for the two theories. The existence of a duality between the two theories implies a surprising structure within the S-matrix of gauge theory. This has inspired considerable progress in computing scattering...
متن کاملBootstrapping Multi-Parton Loop Amplitudes in QCD
We present a new method for computing complete one-loop amplitudes, including their rational parts, in non-supersymmetric gauge theory. This method merges the unitarity method with onshell recursion relations. It systematizes a unitarity-factorization bootstrap approach previously applied by the authors to the one-loop amplitudes required for next-to-leading order QCD corrections to the process...
متن کاملOne-loop Higgs plus four gluon amplitudes: Full analytic results
We consider one-loop amplitudes of a Higgs boson coupled to gluons in the limit of a large top quark mass. We treat the Higgs as the real part of a complex field φ that couples to the self-dual field strengths and compute the one-loop corrections to the φNMHV amplitude, which contains one gluon of positive helicity whilst the remaining three have negative helicity. We use four-dimensional unita...
