چکیده

This paper introduces a family of 4 4 4 tensors, referred to as “join tensors” or Jtensors for short, which perform “3D to 3D” alignment between coordinate systems of sets of dynamic 3D points. 3D Configurations of points are obtained by a 3D measuring device (such as a structured light or laser range sensor, or a stereo rig) at times t1; t2; t3 from different viewing positions in addition to the motion of the sensor the points are also allowed to move in space; each point can move along an arbitrary straight-line path — we refer to this situation as “dynamic”. The problem is to recover the motion of the sensor given the 3D correspondences of the points over time. We introduce Jtensors to capture the problem described above. Three observationsP; P ; P 00 of a point measured at three time instants contribute a linear measurement to the Jtensor, regardless of whether the point has moved in space or has remained stationary while the sensor has changed position.

Application of 3D-QSAR on a Series of Potent P38-MAP Kinase Inhibitors

One of the most applied methods in drug industry for development of new drugs is 3D-QSAR methodology. As p38-mitogen-activated protein kinase (p38-MAPK) plays a crucial role in regulating the production of such proinflammatory cytokines as tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin-1, emerging as an attractive target for new anti-inflammatory agents, we used a 3D-QSAR based method of Compa...

3D and 4D Seismic Data Integration in Static and Dynamic Reservoir Modeling: A Review

Reservoir modeling is the process of generating numerical representations of reservoir conditions and properties on the basis of geological, geophysical, and engineering data measured on the Earth’s surface or in depth at a limited number of borehole locations. Therefore, reservoir modeling requires an incorporation of the data from a variety of sources, along with an integration of knowledge a...

From Passive Dynamic Walking to Passive Turning of Biped walker

Dynamically stable biped robots mimicking human locomotion have received significant attention over the last few decades. Formerly, the existence of stable periodic gaits for straight walking of passive biped walkers was well known and investigated as the notion of passive dynamic walking. This study is aimed to elaborate this notion in the case of three dimensional (3D) walking and extend it f...

Investigation of electrokinetic mixing in 3D non-homogenous microchannels

A numerical study of 3D electrokinetic flows through micromixers was performed. The micromixers considered here consisted of heterogeneous rectangular microchannels with prescribed patterns of zeta-potential at their walls. Numerical simulation of electroosmotic flows within heterogeneous channels requires solution of the Navier-Stokes, Ernest-Plank and species concentration equations. It is kn...

Plane+Parallax, Tensors and Factorization

We study the special form that the general multi-image tensor formalism takes under the plane + parallax decomposition, including matching tensors and constraints, closure and depth recovery relations, and inter-tensor consistency constraints. Plane + parallax alignment greatly simplifies the algebra, and makes the underlying geometry significantly clearer. We relate plane + parallax to the geo...
