k-k Sorting on the Multi-Mesh

چکیده
We present sorting algorithms on the recently introduced multi-mesh, a network consisting of n 2 meshes of size n n which are connected by the free marginal links of the meshes. Our algorithm takes 41n + o(n) steps which is a signiicant improvement to previously known algorithms. The sorting algorithm is based on a technique using interchange of data between the n n submeshes to distribute information uniformly, an approach which is similar to an all-to-all mapping. Furthermore , with this approach we can also handle k-k problems on the multi-mesh, where each processor contains k elements initially and nal-ly. We show that the k-k sorting problem can be solved in about 9:5kn steps, provided k 12.

EMCSO: An Elitist Multi-Objective Cat Swarm Optimization
This paper introduces a novel multi-objective evolutionary algorithm based on cat swarm optimizationalgorithm (EMCSO) and its application to solve a multi-objective knapsack problem. The multi-objective optimizers try to find the closest solutions to true Pareto front (POF) where it will be achieved by finding the less-crowded non-dominated solutions. The proposed method applies cat swarm optim...

Mesh connected computers have become attractive models of computing because of their varied special features. In this paper we consider two variations of the mesh model: 1) a mesh with fixed buses, and 2) a mesh with reconfigurable buses. Both these models have been the subject matter of extensive previous research. We solve numerous important problems related to packet routing and sorting on t...
