Strongly triggered collapse model confront observations

چکیده
Detailed modelling of individual protostellar condensations, is important to test the various theories. Here we present comparisons between strongly induced collapse models with one young class-0, IRAS4A in the Perseus cloud and one prestellar cloud observed in the Coalsack molecular cloud.

Strongly induced collapse in the Class 0 protostar NGC 1333 IRAS 4 A
Context. The onset of gravitational collapse in cluster-forming clouds is still poorly known. Aims. Our goal is to use the Class 0 protostar IRAS 4A, which is undergoing collapse in the active molecular cloud NGC 1333, to set constraints on this process. In particular we want to measure the mass infall rate and investigate whether the collapse could have been triggered by a strong external pert...
متن کاملHigh Accretion Rate during Class 0 Phase due to External Trigger
ABSTRACT Recent observations indicate that some class 0 sources have orders of magnitude higher accretion rates than those of class I. We investigated the conditions for the high accretion rates of some class 0 sources by numerical calculations, modelling an external trigger. For no external trigger, we find that the maximum value of the accretion rate is determined by the ratio α of the gravit...
متن کاملWeak-interaction processes during stellar collapse
Massive stars end their lifes as type II supernovae, triggered by a collapse of their central iron core with a mass of more than 1M . The general picture of a core-collapse supernova is probably well understood and has been confirmed by various observations from supernova 1987A. Nevertheless, the most sophisticated supernova simulations [1, 2, 3] currently fail to explode indicating that improv...
متن کاملA Look At Three Different Scenarios for Bulge Formation
In this paper, we present three qualitatively different scenarios for bulge formation: a secular evolution model in which bulges form after disks and undergo several central starbursts, a primordial collapse model in which bulges and disks form simultaneously, and an early bulge formation model in which bulges form prior to disks. We normalize our models to the local z = 0 observations of de Jo...
متن کاملNumerical Study of Progressive Collapse in Framed Structures: A New Approach for Dynamic Column Removal (TECHNICAL NOTE)
Progressive collapse is a situation where local failure of a primary structural component leads to the collapse of adjoining members which, in turn, leads to additional collapse. Hence, the total damage is disproportionate to the original cause. The most common local failure in framed structure is assumed to be column failure. In this paper, a new approach for dynamic column removal in framed s...
