Novel Motion Correction Technique Using Orbital Navigator Echoes in Interleaved Spiral Imaging
نویسندگان
چکیده
Spiral imaging does not produce apparent flow artifacts. However, it remains sensitive to rapid rigid body motion. In this abstract, a motion correction technique using an orbital navigator “ring” in interleaved spiral imaging is presented. In this technique, a circular k-space trajectory is incorporated into each spiral interleaf. Data inconsistency due to both rotation and translation can be corrected by evaluating the magnitudes and phases of the data of the navigator “ring”. This motion correction technique is combined with an automatic field map generation method, such that no additional scanning is necessary for off-resonance correction.

High resolution, free-breathing coronary artery imaging with >99% respiratory efficiency: comparing beat to beat respiratory motion correction with navigator gating
Introduction: High-resolution coronary artery imaging is commonly gated to end-expiration using diaphragmatic navigator echoes, resulting in inherently low respiratory efficiency (RE) which is further exacerbated by respiratory drift. Recently, it was demonstrated that epicardial fat can be used as a marker of coronary artery position in a 3D beat-to-beat non-model based subject-specific respir...

Introduction: Dark blood coronary artery wall imaging has demonstrated the ability to detect vessel wall thickening in subjects with non-significant coronary heart disease [1]. For high resolution imaging, studies are generally performed with diaphragmatic navigator gating which has an inherently low respiratory efficiency (RE) and is further compromised by respiratory drift through the long ac...

A technique for automatic retrospective correction of motion artifacts on magnetic resonance (MR) images was developed that uses only the raw (complex) data from the MR imager and requires no knowledge of patient motion during the acquisition. The algorithm was tested on coronal images of the rotator cuff in a series of 144 patients, and the improvements in image quality were similar to those a...
