Artefacts and Roles: Modelling Strategies in a Multiplicative Ontology
نویسندگان
چکیده
The purpose of this paper is to examine different modelling strategies available in a multiplicative formal ontology, and the principles that drive their choice. This study is based on the results of recent work aiming at extending the foundational ontology DOLCE to grasp two quite different notions, that of artefact and that of role. These results, summarized in the paper, show that two multiplicative modelling strategies, entity stacking and property reification, are essential in

An Ontological Core for Conformance Checking in the Engineering Life-cycle
Effective exchange of information about processes and industrial plants, their design, construction, operation, and maintenance requires sophisticated information modelling and exchange mechanisms that enable the transfer of semantically meaningful information between a vast pool of heterogeneous information systems. In order to represent entities relevant to the engineering life-cycle, social ...
متن کاملRESOLUTION METHOD FOR MIXED INTEGER LINEAR MULTIPLICATIVE-LINEAR BILEVEL PROBLEMS BASED ON DECOMPOSITION TECHNIQUE
In this paper, we propose an algorithm base on decomposition technique for solvingthe mixed integer linear multiplicative-linear bilevel problems. In actuality, this al-gorithm is an application of the algorithm given by G. K. Saharidis et al for casethat the rst level objective function is linear multiplicative. We use properties ofquasi-concave of bilevel programming problems and decompose th...
متن کاملBusiness Functions Ontology and its Application in Semantic Business Process Modelling
Current business process modelling tools support neither restricting names nor using ontologies to describe process artefacts. This lack results in creating non-consistent process models which are difficult to understand, compare, evaluate and re-use, etc. Within this article we argue that the Business Functions Ontology (BFO) developed within the SUPER project may be effectively used while mod...
متن کاملSome Integral Inequalities of Hermite-Hadamard Type for Multiplicatively s-Preinvex Functions
In this paper, we establish integral inequalities of Hermite-Hadamard type for multiplicativelys-preinvex functions. We also obtain some new inequalities involving multiplicative integralsby using some properties of multiplicatively s-preinvex and preinvex functions.
متن کاملConceptual Graphs with Relators and Roles A GFO Coined View onto CG's Relations
The importance of relations for conceptual modelling motivates an evaluation of Conceptual Graphs (CG) in this respect. This analysis is presented on the formal ontological basis provided by the General Formal Ontology (GFO). On the basis of a simple example domain, modelling problems are identified and analyzed in connection with more sophisticated relational concepts like roles, relators, and...
