Ultimate Intelligence Part I: Physical Completeness and Objectivity of Induction
نویسنده
چکیده
We argue that Solomonoff induction is universal and complete in the physical sense via several strong physical arguments. We argue that Solomonoff induction is fully applicable to quantum mechanics. We show how to choose an objective reference machine for universal induction by defining a physical message complexity for the presently considered ultimate intelligence research program. We introduce physical measures and limits of intelligence that are rigorously objective. We propose volume and energy measures that are more appropriate for physical computations. We extend logical depth and conceptual jump size measures in AIT to stochastic domains and physical measures that involve volume and energy. We show the relations between energy, logical depth and volume of computation for AI. We also introduce a highly relaxed, general physical model of computation that we believe to be more appropriate for our universe than other low level automata models previously considered. We briefly apply our ideas to the physical limits of computation in our universe to show the relation to ultimate intelligence.

Ultimate Intelligence Part II: Physical Measure and Complexity of Intelligence
We investigate physical measures and limits of intelligence that are objective and useful. We propose a universal measure of operator induction fitness, and show how it can be used in a reinforcement learning model, and a self-preserving agent model based on the free energy principle. We extend logical depth and conceptual jump size measures to stochastic domains, and elucidate their relations....
متن کاملObjectivity in Historical Studies
Methodological restriction brings in its wake invalidity and objectivity in various branches of human seiences. By study the objections concerning the objectivity in historical studies and historiography and contemporary version of science as the background of such objections makes clear that this version of induction and objectivity mingled with bigoty and exteoimism. As it is conceived no ...
متن کاملUltimate Intelligence Part III: Measures of Intelligence, Perception and Intelligent Agents
We propose that operator induction serves as an adequate model of perception. We explain how to reduce universal agent models to operator induction. We propose a universal measure of operator induction fitness, and show how it can be used in a reinforcement learning model and a homeostasis (self-preserving) agent based on the free energy principle. We show that the action of the homeostasis age...
متن کاملA Review of Application of Signal Processing Techniques for Fault Diagnosis of Induction Motors – Part I
Abstract - Use of efficient signal processing tools (SPTs) to extract proper indices for fault detection in induction motors (IMs) is the essential part of any fault recognition procedure. The Part1 of the two parts paper focuses on Fourier-based techniques including fast Fourier transform and short time Fourier transform. In this paper, all utilized SPTs which have been employed for fault fete...
متن کاملObjectivity versus Completeness in Quantum Mechanics
The old Bohr–Einstein debate about the completeness of quantum mechanics (QM) was held on an ontological ground but can be transferred at a semantic level. Indeed every physical theory adopts, explicitly or not, a truth theory for its observative language, in terms of which the notions of semantic objectivity and semantic completeness can be introduced and inquired. In particular, standard QM a...
