CHOOSING A SPANNING TREE FOR THE INTEGER LATTICE UNIFORMLY Running Head: RANDOM SPANNING TREES
نویسنده
چکیده
Consider the nearest neighbor graph for the integer lattice Z in d dimensions. For a large finite piece of it, consider choosing a spanning tree for that piece uniformly among all possible subgraphs that are spanning trees. As the piece gets larger, this approaches a limiting measure on the set of spanning graphs for Z. This is shown to be a tree if and only if d ≤ 4. In this case, the tree has only one topological end, i.e. there are no doubly infinite paths. When d ≥ 5 the spanning forest has infinitely many components almost surely, with each component having one or two topological ends.

Counting the number of spanning trees of graphs
A spanning tree of graph G is a spanning subgraph of G that is a tree. In this paper, we focus our attention on (n,m) graphs, where m = n, n + 1, n + 2, n+3 and n + 4. We also determine some coefficients of the Laplacian characteristic polynomial of fullerene graphs.

Let G be a finite graph or an infinite graph on which ZZ acts with finite fundamental domain. If G is finite, let T be a random spanning tree chosen uniformly from all spanning trees of G; if G is infinite, methods from [Pem] show that this still makes sense, producing a random essential spanning forest of G. A method for calculating local characteristics (i.e. finite-dimensional marginals) of ...

The source and target reliability in SAT network is de- fined as the flawless transmission from the source node to all the other nodes. In some references, the SAT pro- cess has been followed between all the node pairs but it is very time-consuming in today’s widespread networks and involves many costs. In this article, a method has been proposed to compare the reliability in complex networks b...

متن کاملSOLVING A STEP FIXED CHARGE TRANSPORTATION PROBLEM BY A SPANNING TREE-BASED MEMETIC ALGORITHM
In this paper, we consider the step fixed-charge transportation problem (FCTP) in which a step fixed cost, sometimes called a setup cost, is incurred if another related variable assumes a nonzero value. In order to solve the problem, two metaheuristic, a spanning tree-based genetic algorithm (GA) and a spanning tree-based memetic algorithm (MA), are developed for this NP-hard problem. For compa...
