Objectives for User Interface Speciication Languages
نویسنده
چکیده
User interface speciication languages are concerned with describing the requirements for the structure of dialogue between an interactive system and its users. The central objective for a user interface speciication language is to provide the ability to construct and maintain speciications which establish a wide range of perspectives and facilitate analysis. This paper presents a number of characteristics possessed by various user interface speciication languages in order to achieve this aim.

This tutorial introduces the main aspects in speciication and design of user interfaces for geographic databases. The main issues discussed are alternative interface architectures, distinct types of query mechanisms and user mental models. Problems and solutions are presented using a survey style, comparing the main results published in related literature.

Formal methods are playing an increasingly important role in software development. The use of algebraic languages to formally specify software systems provides a better understanding of the functionality of the software and aids in ensuring the correctness and reliability of the software. However, to ensure software correctness and completeness, the formal speciication of the system must rst be...

Introduction: User interfaces are a crucial factor in ensuring the success of mobile applications. Mobile Educational Applications not only provide flexibility in learning, but also allow learners to learn at any time and any place. The purpose of this article is to investigate the effective factors affecting the design of the user interface in mobile educational applications. Methods: Quantita...
متن کاملVERSA : A Tool for the Speci cation and Analysisof Resource - Bound Real - Time Systems
VERSA is a tool that assists in the algebraic analysis of real-time systems. It is based on ACSR, a timed process algebra designed to express resource-bound real-time distributed systems. VERSA is designed to be both a usable and useful tool for the analysis of ACSR speciications. Usability is assured by a exible user interface that uses ACSR's traditional notation augmented with conventions fr...

A notation is presented for formally describing the design of a user-interface. The speciication of a system is given using the Object-Z formal speciication language and then extended to describe presentation using an Object-Z class library. The Object-Z notation is extended to enable designs to be described using UAN (User Action Notation) annotations and the semantics for the design extension...
