Mixed Intention Sets in Dialogue Planning

چکیده

Non-collaborative dialogues are characterized by congruent and incongru-ent, partly conflicting intentions, that means mixed intention sets of the participants. Such dialogues are challenging for a number of reasons when supported by dialogue systems. We introduce a model of Situated Dialogue Action (SAM) that represents system-supported dialogues between multiple participants with mixed intention sets triggered by non-collaborative dialogue situations. Selected parts of SAM are instantiated by means of a Question-Answering (QA) system. We discuss our findings due to the instantiation in a QA setting and gave implications for future work.

Chapter 1 MANAGING COMMUNICATIVE INTENTIONS WITH COLLABORATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING ∗

Dialogue systems need to be able to understand a user’s communicative intentions, reason with those intentions, form their own communicative intentions, and realize those intentions with actual language to be uttered to the user. Oftentimes in dialogue systems, however, what these communicative intentions actually correspond to is never clearly defined. We propose a descriptive model of dialogu...

Mixed Initiative in a Spoken Dialogue System

In this paper, we outline a data driven approach to mixed initiative dialogue in acoustic user interfaces to databases. We present the knowledge sources that our dialogue planning algorithm needs: the dialogue model, the dialogue history, and the application description. Further, we discuss how the notions of taking, keeping, giving, and relinquishing the turn are reflected in our approach and ...

Exact Mixed Integer Programming for Integrated Scheduling and Process Planning in Flexible Environment

This paper presented a mixed integer programming for integrated scheduling and process planning. The presented process plan included some orders with precedence relations similar to Multiple Traveling Salesman Problem (MTSP), which was categorized as an NP-hard problem. These types of problems are also called advanced planning because of simultaneously determining the appropriate sequence and m...

Modelling Spatio-Temporal Comprehension in Situated Human-Robot Dialogue as Reasoning about Intentions and Plans

The article presents an approach to modeling spatio-temporal comprehension in situated dialogue. The approach combines linguistic reasoning with reasoning about intentions and plans during incremental interpretation of dialogue moves. The article explores how intention-directed planning can prime selectional attention in utterance comprehension by disambiguating linguistic analyses on the basis...

Integrating Joint Intention Theory, Belief Reasoning, and Communicative Action for Generating Team-Oriented Dialogue

The goal of this research is to develop an architecture that can guide an agent during collaborative teamwork. The architecture should generate communication and dialogue during the performance of collaborative multi-agent tasks as a byproduct of the agent’s rationally pursuing its intentions. This paper describes how a joint intention interpreter that is integrated with a reasoner over beliefs...
