چکیده

We examine the constrained via minimization problem with pin preassignments (CVMPP) which arises in connection with hierarchical physical synthesis. Let A be a circuit composed of subcircuits B, C, D,. . .. Assume that the placement and routing phase together with the 2-layer wiring of the subcircuits, and the placement and routing phase without the 2-layer wiring of A are completed. CVMPP is the problem of nding a 2-layer wiring A of A which is induced by the 2-layer wirings of the subcircuits and which contains a minimal amount of vias on this condition. First, we show that CVMPP is NP-hard. In the case that the wiring of the power supply nets has already been generated we present a polynomial time algorithm solving CVMPP.

M2R: Multilayer Routing Algorithm for High-Performance MCMs

We introduce a new multilayer routing strategy for high-performance MCMs whose objective is to route all nets optimizing routing performance and to satisfy various design constraints (e.g., minimizing coupling between vias as well as between signal lines and minimizing discontinuities such as vias and bends). First we introduce the Pin Pre-wiring and Redktnbution Problem, which redistributes th...

Eddy Current Losses in Transformer Windings and Circuit Wiring

Skin Effect Figure 1 shows the magnetic field (flux lines) in and around a conductor carrying dc or low frequency current I. The field is radially symmetrical, as shown, only if the return current with its associated field is at a great distance. At low frequency, the energy in the magnetic field is trivial compared to the energy loss in the resistance of the wire. Hence the current Introductio...

Synthesis of Copper Hydroxide Nitrate (Cu2(OH)3NO3) Micro-Sheets by Plasma Electrolysis of Cu(NO3)2 Aqueous Solution in Atmospheric Air

In the present paper, using a cathodic pin-to-solution electrical discharge electrolysis setup, interaction of the atmospheric air plasma with aqueous solution of copper nitrate and its possibility for synthesis of nano-materials is investigated. An AC (50 Hz) high-voltage power supply (5 kV) with rectified current is used for electrical discharge of the air between a metal pin and the solution...

Modeling and Performance Evaluation of Energy Consumption in S-MAC Protocol Using Generalized Stochastic Petri Nets

One of the features of wireless sensor networks is that the nodes in this network have limited power sources. Therefore, assessment of energy consumption in these networks is very important. What has been common practice has been the use of traditional simulators to evaluate the energy consumption of the nodes in these networks. Simulators often have problems such as fluctuating output values i...
