Sita: A Computational Model for Situated Acting
نویسنده
چکیده
Sita is a novel language for modeling intelligent behavior in dynamic environments. The central modeling principle is the distinction of recognition and action as the two complementary basic skills essential for situated behavior. The underlying computational model combines an incremental bottom-up logic programming mechanism with a concurrent process calculus. This principle allows for the clear separation and natural description of declarative knowledge about situations and procedural knowledge about acting.

A Computational Model for Declarative Recognition and Imperative Action
Sita is a novel agent language for modeling intelligent behaviour in dynamic environments. The central modeling principle is the distinction of recognition and action as the two complementary basic skills essential for situated behaviour. متن کاملSituated Cognition and the Role of Multi-agent Models in Explaining Language Structure
How and where are the universal features of language specified? We consider language users as situated agents acting as conduits for the cultural transmission of language. Using multi-agent computational models we show that certain hallmarks of language are adaptive in the context of cultural transmission. This observation requires us to reconsider the role of innateness in explaining the chara...
متن کاملVerification of Agent-Oriented Situated Systems: A Model-Theoretic Approach
The study of situated systems that are capable of reactive and goal-directed behaviour has received increased attention in recent years. One important class are the so-called agent-oriented systems, which model the system as a rational agent with certain mental attitudes that determine its decision-making and acting capabilities. This approach has led to the development of expressive, but compu...

Development of advanced spectral wind wave models has been the subject of comprehensive researches which has led to reliable wave predictions for assessing the impact of waves on the natural environment, coastal protection, offshore structures and harbor over the past two decades. On the other hand, the Geographical Information Systems (GIS) are developed for working with geographical data whic...
متن کاملGrounded Situation Models for Situated Conversational Assistants
A Situated Conversational Assistant (SCA) is a system with sensing, acting and speech synthesis/recognition abilities, which engages in physically situated natural language conversation with human partners and assists them in carrying out tasks. This thesis addresses some prerequisites towards an ideal truly cooperative SCA through the development of a computational model of embodied, situated ...
