Random Phase Approximation For Allowed and Parity Non-conserving Electric Dipole Transition Amplitudes and its Connection with Many- Body Perturbation Theory and Coupled-Cluster Theory

چکیده
The connections between the Random Phase Approximation (RPA) and Many-Body Perturbation Theory (MBPT) and its all order generalisation, the CoupledCluster Theory (CCT) have been explored. Explicit expressions have been derived for the electric dipole amplitudes for allowed and forbidden transitions induced by the parity non-conserving neutral weak interaction. The Goldstone diagrams associated with the RPA terms in both cases are shown to arise in MBPT and CCT and the numerical verification of this relationship is made for the allowed electric dipole transitions.

“Dressing” lines and vertices in calculations of matrix elements with the coupled-cluster method and determination of Cs atomic properties
We consider evaluation of matrix elements with the coupled-cluster method. Such calculations formally involve infinite number of terms and we devise a method of partial summation sdressingd of the resulting series. Our formalism is built upon an expansion of the product C†C of cluster amplitudes C into a sum of n-body insertions. We consider two types of insertions: particle sholed line inserti...
متن کاملRelativistic many-body calculations of electric-dipole lifetimes, transition rates, and oscillator strengths for n = 3 states in Al-like ions
Transition rates, oscillator strengths, and line strengths are calculated for electric-dipole(E1) transitions between even-parity 3s3p, 3s3d, 3p3d, 3d3s and 3d states and odd-parity3s3p, 3p, 3s3p3d, and 3d3p states in Al-like ions with the nuclear charges ranging fromZ = 15 to 100. Relativistic many-body perturbation theory (MBPT), including the Breitinteraction, is used to eval...
متن کاملA coupled-cluster approach to polarizabilities: Computational aspects
We present ab initio calculations of both the dipole and quadrupole polarizabilities within the framework of the relativistic coupled-cluster theory. We directly solve the first order perturbed equation arising from a general one-electron perturbation, thereby avoiding an explicit summation over intermediate states. This method can be applied to a wide range of problems including the high preci...

The self-energy-functional approach is a powerful many-body tool to investigate different broken symmetry phases of strongly correlated electron systems. We use the variational cluster perturbation theory (also called the variational cluster approximation) to investigate the interplay between the antiferromagnetism and d-wave superconductivity of κ-(ET)2 X conductors. These compounds are desc...
متن کاملRelativistic many-body calculations of electric-dipole transitions between n52 states in B-like ions
Transition rates, oscillator strengths, and line strengths are calculated for the 49 possible electric-dipole transitions between the eight even-parity 2s2p states and the seven odd-parity 2s2p and 2p states in boronlike ions with nuclear charges ranging from Z56 to 100. Relativistic many-body perturbation theory ~MBPT!, including the Breit interaction, is used to evaluate retarded E1 matrix el...
