Integral representations of one-dimensional projections for multivariate stable densities

چکیده
Abstract We consider the numerical evaluation of one dimensional projections of general multivariate stable densities introduced by Abdul-Hamid and Nolan (1998). In their approach higher order derivatives of one dimensional densities are used, which seem to be cumbersome in practice. Furthermore there are some difficulties for even dimensions. In order to overcome these difficulties we obtain the explicit finite-interval integral representation of one dimensional projections for all dimensions. For this purpose we utilize the imaginary part of complex integration, whose real part corresponds to the derivative of the one dimensional inversion formula. We also give summaries on relations between various parameterizations of stable multivariate density and its one dimensional projection.

Metrics for multivariate stable distributions
Metrics are proposed for the distance between two multivariate stable distributions. The first set of metrics are defined in terms of the closeness of the parameter functions of one dimensional projections of the laws. Convergence in these metrics is equivalent to convergence in distribution and an explicit bound on the closeness of two stable densities is given. Another metric based on the Pro...
متن کاملRepresentations of multidimensional linear process bridges
We derive bridges from general multidimensional linear non time-homogeneous processes using only the transition densities of the original process giving their integral representations (in terms of a standard Wiener process) and so-called anticipative representations. We derive a stochastic differential equation satisfied by the integral representation and we prove a usual conditioning property ...
متن کاملScanning Multivariate Conditional Densities with Probability Integral Transforms
This paper introduces new ways to construct probability integral transforms of random vectors that complement the approach of Diebold, Hahn, and Tay (1999) for evaluating multivariate conditional density forecasts. Our approach enables us to “scan” multivariate densities in various different ways. A simple bivariate normal example is given that illustrates how “scanning” a multivariate density ...
متن کاملInformation Covariance Matrices for Multivariate Burr III and Logistic Distributions
Main result of this paper is to derive the exact analytical expressions of information and covariance matrices for multivariate Burr III and logistic distributions. These distributions arise as tractable parametric models in price and income distributions, reliability, economics, Human population, some biological organisms to model agricultural population data and survival data. We showed that ...
متن کاملPixel selection by successive projections algorithm method in multivariate image analysis for a QSAR study of antimicrobial activity for cephalosporins and design new cephalosporins
Thirty-one Cephalosporin compounds were modeled using the multivariate image analysis and applied to the quantitative structure activity relationship (MIA-QSAR) approach. The acid dissociation constants (pKa) of cephalosporins play a fundamental role in the mechanism of activity of cephalosporins. The antimicrobial activity of cephalosporins was related to their first pKa by different models. B...
