One Dimensional Tdm Signal Reconstruction from Its Fourier Transform Phase or Magnitude
نویسندگان
چکیده
Unlike multidimensional signals, reconstruction of one dimensional signals from their Fourier phase or magnitude is faced with an inherent dilemma. In this paper, the reconstruction of 1D Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) signals (which are sparse in time) is discussed. We will show that such signals can be uniquely reconstructed from their Fourier phase; on the other hand, reconstruction from the Fourier magnitude results in a class of signals. For reconstruction of the mentioned signals, we propose a method followed by a modification inspired by the Hayes uniqueness theorems for recovery of the 2D signals from their Fourier phase or magnitude. In contrast to the previous works which consider criterion in frequency-domain, this work aims to recover the signals using the knowledge of the non-zero sample locations in timedomain. Simulation results confirm the performance of the proposed methods.

Iterative reconstruction of speech from short-time Fourier transform phase and magnitude spectra
In this paper, we consider the topic of iterative, one dimensional, signal reconstruction (specifically speech signals) from the magnitude spectrum and the phase spectrum. While this topic has been extensively researched and documented, we wish to recast some well-established results for the benefit of new researchers and those who desire a short, yet comprehensive, review of the subject. The t...
متن کاملPhase Retrieval: An Overview of Recent Developments
In many physical measurement systems, one can only measure the power spectral density, i.e., the magnitudesquare of the Fourier transform of the underlying signal. For example, in an optical setting, detection devices like CCD cameras and photosensitive films cannot measure the phase of a light wave and instead measure the photon flux. In addition, at a large enough distance from the imaging pl...
متن کاملSeveral approaches to signal reconstruction from spectrum magnitudes
The problem of reconstructing a one-dimensional (1-D) signal from only the magnitude of its Fourier transform emerges when the phase of a signal is apparently lost or impractical to measure. Previous solutions usually employed an Iterative Fourier Transform (IFT) algorithm applied on a discrete approximation of a signal. The utilization of these algorithms is seriously limited by the unpredicta...
متن کاملPhase-only signal reconstruction
In this paper, we develop a set of conditions under which a sequence is uniquely specified by the phase or samples of the phase of its Fourier transform. These conditions are applicable to mixedphase one-dimensional and multi-dimensional sequences. Under the specified conditions, we also present several algorithms which may be used to reconstruct a sequence from its phase.

When one imposes a nonnegativity constraint, one usually can reconstruct a two-dimensional sequence of finite support from themodulus of itsFourier transform using an iterativealgorithm, even when the initial estimate is an array of random numbers. In a recent paper,‘ the description of an iterative algorithm foreconstruct ing a sequencefromthe magnitudeof itsFou...
