چکیده

By comparing the voltage-current (V − I) curves obtained before and after cutting a sample of 2HNbSe2, we separate the bulk and edge contributions to the transport current at various dissipation levels and derive their respective V − I curves and critical currents. We find that the edge contribution is thermally activated across a current dependent surface barrier. By contrast the bulk V − I curves are linear, as expected from the free flux flow model. The relative importance of bulk and edge contributions is found to depend on dissipation level and sample dimensions. We further show that the peak effect is a sharp bulk phenomenon and that it is broadened by the edge contribution.

Visualizing the morphology of vortex lattice domains in a bulk type-II superconductor

Alike materials in the solid state, the phase diagram of type-II superconductors exhibit crystalline, amorphous, liquid and spatially inhomogeneous phases. The multitude of different phases of vortex matter has thence proven to act as almost ideal model system for the study of both the underlying properties of superconductivity but also of general phenomena such as domain nucleation and morphol...

A Kinetic Investigation of a Carrier-Mediated Transport through a Bulk Liquid Membrane

The kinetics of the potassium thiocyanate transport mediated by dicyclohexyl-18-crown-6 (L) through a bulk liquid membrane is studied experimentally and theoretically. The proposed model is based on the assumption of a pure diffusion of the complex salt [K·L]+SCN¯ through the liquid membrane stagnant films at the interfaces. It illustrates the ...

Analysis of Multiple Yoffe-type Moving Cracks in an Orthotropic Half-Plane under Mixed Mode Loading Condition

The present paper deals with the mixed mode fracture analysis of a weakened orthotropic half-plane with multiple cracks propagation. The orthotropic half-plane contains Volterra type glide and climb edge dislocations. It is assumed that the medium is under in-plane loading conditions. The distributed dislocation technique is used to obtain integral equations for the dynamic problem of multiple ...

Mixed-state penetration depths in s-wave and d-wave superconductors

We report on a microscopic calculation of the current and magnetic field distribution in the mixed state of model s-wave and d-wave superconductors. For the d-wave case, we find that corrections to London theory are important at fields small compared to Hc2. The field distribution is influenced by both superfluid-velocity dependence and non-locality in the current response function of the mixed...

Evaluating the relationship between land use patterns, and the parameters affecting the sustainability of urban transport (case study: Kermanshah city)

Aims & Backgrounds:This article evaluates the relationship between land use patterns and sustainable urban transport indicators in Kermanshah City.and that tries to answer these questions as to whether there is a connection between the characteristics of density per unit area with walking tendency as a sustainable transport mode? Is there any relation between traffic safety and traffic relaxati...
