چکیده
Theories of subjective probobility ore viewed OS formol longuoges for onolyz-ing evi dence ond expressing degrees of belief. This article focuses on two probobility Iongouges, the Boyesion longuoge ond the longuoge of belief functions (Shofer, 1976). We describe and compare the semantics (i.e., the meoning of the scale) ond the syntax (i.e., the formol coIcuIus) of these Ion-guoges. We also investigote some of the designs for probobility judgment afforded by the two longuoges.

Some New Properties of the Searching Probability
Consider search designs for searching one nonzero 2- or 3-factor interaction under the search linear model. In the noisy case, search probability is given by Shirakura et al. (Ann. Statist. 24(6) (1996) 2560). In this paper some new properties of the searching probability are presented. New properties of the search probability enable us to compare designs, which depend on an unknown parameter ?...
متن کاملA review on search designs and their evaluation criteria
The search designs first introduced in Srivastava (1975) is reviewed. In a ceritan problem, there may be some search designs with same runs. Some criteria for evaluation of search designs are the other topic in the paper. Criteria based on searching probability and expected Kullback- Leibler are reviewd. Some examples are given in each case.
متن کاملA Review of Statistics and Probability Journals in ISI Database
As in recent years the scientific productivity about ISI database and other related database have been increased, it is eligible for researchers of Statistics in Iran to know more about these journals and their statues in ISI database. In this study with the use of bibliometric methods, we have reviewed the status of Statistics and Probability . From all nations around the world, these are only...
متن کاملThe Relation Between Probability and Evidence Judgment: An Extension of Support Theory
We propose a theory that relates perceived evidence to numerical probability judgment. The most successful prior account of this relation is Support Theory, advanced in Tversky and Koehler (1994). Support Theory, however, implies additive probability estimates for binary partitions. In contrast, superadditivity has been documented in Macchi, Osherson, and Krantz (1999), and both suband superadd...
