چکیده

In this paper, a low noise high gain CMOS amplifier for minute nerve signals is presented. By using a mixture of weakand strong inversion transistors, optimal noise suppression in the amplifier is achieved. A continuous-time offsetcompensation technique is utilized in order to minimize impact on the amplifier input nodes. The method for signal recovery from noisy nerve signals is presented. A prototype amplifier is realized in a standard digital 0.5 pm CMOS single poly, n-well process. The prototype amplifier features a gain of 80 dB over a 3.6 kHz bandwidth, a CMRR of more than 87dB and a PSRR greater than 84dB. The equivalent input referred noise in the bandwidth of interest is 5nV/&. The amplifier power consumption is 275 pW.

An implantable CMOS signal conditioning system for recording nerve signals with cuff electrodes

In this paper, we propose a system architecture for recording nerv e signals with cuff electrodes and w develop the key component in this system, the small-input, low-noise, low-pow er, high-gain. amplifier. The amplifier is implemented using a mixture of weakand strong-inversion transistors and a special off-set compensation technique; it's performance is validated using Spice simulations.

A low-power, low-noise CMOS amplifier for neural recording applications

There is a need among scientists and clinicians for low-noise low-power biosignal amplifiers capable of amplifying signals in the millihertz-to-kilohertz range while rejecting large dc offsets generated at the electrode–tissue interface. The advent of fully implantable multielectrode arrays has created the need for fully integrated micropower amplifiers. We designed and tested a novel bioamplif...

A Sub-µW Tuneable Switched-Capacitor Amplifier-Filter for Neural Recording Using a Class-C Inverter

A two stage sub-µW Inverter-based switched-capacitor amplifier-filter is presented which is capable of amplifying both spikes and local field potentials (LFP) signals. Here we employ a switched capacitor technique for frequency tuning and reducing of 1/f noise of two stages. The reduction of power consumption is very necessary for neural recording devices however, in switched capacitor (SC) cir...

An Ultra High CMRR Low Voltage Low Power Fully Differential Current Operational Amplifier (COA)

this paper presents a novel fully differential (FD) ultra high common mode rejection ratio (CMRR) current operational amplifier (COA) with very low input impedance. Its FD structure that attenuates common mode signals over all stages grants ultra high CMRR and power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) that makes it suitable for mixed mode and accurate applications. Its performance is verified by HSPI...
