Existence for an unsteady fluid-structure interaction problem

چکیده
We study the well-posedness of an unsteady fluid-structure interaction problem. We consider a viscous incompressible flow, which is modelled by the Navier-Stokes équations. The structure is a collection of rigid moving bodies, The fluid domain dépends on time and is defined by the position of the structure, itself resulting rrom a stress distribution coming from the fluid. The problem is then nonlinear and the équations we deal with are coupled. We prove its local solvability in time through two fixed point procedures. Existence of Weak Solutions for the Unsteady Interaction of a Viscous Fluid with an Elastic Plate
We consider a three–dimensional viscous incompressible fluid governed by the Navier–Stokes equations, interacting with an elastic plate located on one part of the fluid boundary. We do not neglect the deformation of the fluid domain which consequently depends on the displacement of the structure. The purpose of this work is to study the solutions of this unsteady fluid–structure interaction pro...
متن کاملExistence of a solution to a fluid–multi-layered-structure interaction problem
We study a nonlinear, unsteady, moving boundary, fluid–structure interaction (FSI) problem in which the structure is composed of two layers: a thick layer, and a thin layer which serves as a fluid–structure interface with mass. The fluid flow, which is driven by the time-dependent dynamic pressure data, is modeled by the Navier–Stokes equations for an incompressible, viscous fluid, defined on a...
متن کاملOptimal Control of a Linear Unsteady Fluid-Structure Interaction Problem
In this paper, we consider optimal control problems governed by linear unsteady fluid–structure interaction problems. Based on a novel symmetric monolithic formulation, we derive optimality systems and provide regularity results for optimal solutions. The proposed formulation allows for natural application of gradient-based optimization algorithms and for space–time finite element discretizations.
متن کاملExistence of a weak solution to a nonlinear fluid-structure interaction problem modeling the flow of an incompressible, viscous fluid in a cylinder with deformable walls
We study a nonlinear, unsteady, moving boundary, fluid-structure interaction (FSI) problem arising in modeling blood flow through elastic and viscoelastic arteries. The fluid flow, which is driven by the time-dependent pressure data, is governed by 2D incompressible Navier-Stokes equations, while the elastodynamics of the cylindrical wall is modeled by the 1D cylindrical Koiter shell model. Two...
متن کاملPresenting a Modified SPH Algorithm for Numerical Studies of Fluid-Structure Interaction Problems
A modified Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) method is proposed for fluid-structure interaction (FSI) problems especially, in cases which FSI is combined with solid-rigid contacts. In current work, the modification of the utilized SPH concerns on removing the artificial viscosities and the artificial stresses (which such terms are commonly used to eliminate the effects of tensile and numeri...
