چکیده

We investigate the dispersive properties of evolution equations on waveguides with a non flat shape. More precisely we consider an operator H = −∆x −∆y + V (x, y) with Dirichled boundary condition on an unbounded domain Ω, and we introduce the notion of a repulsive waveguide along the direction of the first group of variables x. If Ω is a repulsive waveguide, we prove a sharp estimate for the Helmholtz equation Hu − λu = f . As consequences we prove smoothing estimates for the Schrödinger and wave equations associated to H, and Strichartz estimates for the Schrödinger equation. Additionally, we deduce that the operator H does not admit eigenvalues.

On time-dependent neutral stochastic evolution equations with a fractional Brownian motion and infinite delays

In this paper, we consider a class of time-dependent neutral stochastic evolution equations with the infinite delay and a fractional Brownian motion in a Hilbert space. We establish the existence and uniqueness of mild solutions for these equations under non-Lipschitz conditions with Lipschitz conditions being considered as a special case. An example is provided to illustrate the theory

A meshless discrete Galerkin method for solving the universe evolution differential equations based on the moving least squares approximation

In terms of observational data, there are some problems in the standard Big Bang cosmological model. Inflation era, early accelerated phase of the evolution of the universe, can successfully solve these problems. The inflation epoch can be explained by scalar inflaton field. The evolution of this field is presented by a non-linear differential equation. This equation is considered in FLRW model...

Transient and steady-state entanglement mediated by three-dimensional plasmonic waveguides.

Entanglement between two qubits (two level atoms) mediated by surface plasmons in three-dimensional plasmonic waveguides is studied using a quantum master equation formalism. Two types of waveguides, a nanowire and a V-shaped channel cut in a flat metal plane, are considered. The Green functions for the waveguides, which rigorously describes the dissipative qubit environment, are calculated num...

Multilinear Evolution Equations for Time-Harmonic Flows in Conformally Flat Manifolds

It is shown that time-harmonic hypersurface motions in various, conformally flat, N -dimensional manifolds admit a multilinear description, L̇ = {L,M1, · · · ,MN−2}, automatically generating infinitely many conserved quantities, as well as leading to new (integrable) matrix equations. Interestingly, the conformal factor can be changed without changing L. ∗ Heisenberg Fellow On leave of absence f...

Observation of a Localized Flat-Band State in a Photonic Lieb Lattice.

We demonstrate the first experimental realization of a dispersionless state, in a photonic Lieb lattice formed by an array of optical waveguides. This engineered lattice supports three energy bands, including a perfectly flat middle band with an infinite effective mass. We analyze, both experimentally and theoretically, the evolution of well-prepared flat-band states, and show their remarkable ...
