Tau Polarizations in the Three-body Slepton Decays with Stau as the NLSP

چکیده
In the gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking models with scalar tau as the next-to-lightest supersymmetric particle, a scalar lepton may decay dominantly into its superpartner, tau lepton, and the lightest scalar tau particle through l̃ → lτ±τ̃ 1 . We give detailed formulas for the three-body decay amplitudes and the polarization asymmetry of the outgoing tau lepton . We find that the tau polarizations are sensitive to the model parameters such as the stau mixing angle, the neutralino to slepton mass ratio and the neutralino mixing effect. 14.80.Ly, 12.60.Jv, 14.65.Ha Typeset using REVTEX [email protected] [email protected] 1

A Search for GMSB Sleptons with Lifetime at ALEPH
A search for slepton production via the decay of pair-produced neutralinos has been performed under the assumption that the sleptons have observable lifetime in the detector before each decays to a lepton and a gravitino. Sleptons, neutralinos and gravitinos are particles predicted by the theory of supersymmetry, and are the supersymmetric partners of the Standard Model leptons, neutral bosons ...
متن کاملEluding the BBN constraints on the stable gravitino
We investigate how late-time entropy production weakens the Big-Bang Nucleosynthesis (BBN) constraints on the gravitino as lightest superparticle with a charged slepton as next-to-lightest superparticle. We find that with a moderate amount of entropy production, the BBN constraints can be eluded for most of the parameter space relevant for the discovery of the gravitino. This is encouraging for...
متن کاملNeutralino reconstruction in supersymmetry with long-lived staus
We consider a supergravity (SUGRA) scenario, with universal scalar and gaugino masses at high scale, with a right-chiral neutrino superfield included in the spectrum. Such a scenario can have a lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) dominated by the right sneutrino and a stau as the next-to lightest supersymmetric particle (NLSP). Since decays of all particles into the LSP are suppressed by the...
متن کاملConstraints on Gravitino Dark Matter Scenarios with Long-Lived Charged Sleptons
The existence of the gravitino G̃—the gauge field of local supersymmetry (SUSY) transformations—is an unavoidable implication of SUSY theories containing gravity. As the spin-3/2 superpartner of the graviton, the gravitino is an extremely weakly interacting particle with couplings suppressed by inverse powers of the (reduced) Planck scale MP = 2.4×1018 GeV. In the course of spontaneous SUSY brea...
متن کاملBreaking Topologies in e+e− collisions at LEP2
In gauge-mediated supersymmetry (SUSY) breaking (GMSB) models the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) is the gravitino and the phenomenology is driven by the nature of the next-to-lightest SUSY particle (NLSP) which is either the lightest neutralino, the stau or mass degenerate sleptons. Since the NLSP decay length is effectively unconstrained, searches for all possible lifetime and NLSP top...
