چکیده
This tutorial discusses the different types of pulse oximeters including optical and reflective techniques and the design considerations taken when building high-end portable bedside monitors or mid and low-end battery-powered models. The discussion covers light absorption, sensor calibration, and details specifics within the transmit path leading to in-depth discovery of photodiode, interface, signal conversion, and data conversion characteristics. A functional block diagram and part recommendations are also included.
